Teen Summer Camps Inspire a Student to Pursue Marine Biology Programs

Encourage students to pursue biology programs

Sail Caribbean is offering adventures for teens and college age students since 1979. No previous experience is necessary. For all the Sail Caribbean's teen summer camps is a special focus and enthusiasm to empower youth and encourage them to try new adventures. Often these experiences make a lasting impression. One particular student who participated in the camp for three consecutive years found the inspiration he has helped lead to great success.

In 2002, Josh Stewart was 13 when he first joined the Sail Caribbean is a Bravo program British Virgin Islands. He had never been sailing before, but quickly learned the ropes. He explored the island with his crew and took over responsibility for running their 50ft yacht. Biology programs and seminars are one aspect of the Caribbean sail teen summer camps. Here Josh has participated in its first marine conservation work - mangrove rehabilitation project. Josh decided to return to camp for two consecutive years, and sail the Caribbean joined the Delta program in the Leeward Islands in 2003 and 2004. This was his chance to start exploring beneath the waves of the Caribbean and his first dive. Back to the teen summer camps, presents new adventures, challenges, models and ideas. Sail the Caribbean underwater cameraman was filming footage of this summer 2004, and his work is an impression on Josh.
